World of the Outlaws
Outlaws are distinctive figures of Hungarian folk tradition, often preserved in popular memory as idealised heroes. Thus were born the “Hungarian Robin Hoods”: our legendary outlaws Jóska Sobri, Imre Bogár, Márton Vidróczky, Bandi Angyal and, above all, Sándor Rózsa, whose sometimes highly romantic stories offer adventure, humour and plenty of charm.
In World of the Outlaws, the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble takes the audience on a spectacular journey back to a bygone age. Created in the spirit of carefree entertainment, the production speaks to every generation through the richness of Hungarian folk art, folk music and folk dance culture.
A dance theatre production in 55 minutes.
