Stars of Eger

The gigantic production of the National Theater and the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble is the most spectacular Gárdonyi adaptation of all time. The best-known Hungarian novel is a real big story: about love, loyalty, friendship, patriotism, heroism and growing up.

The “Stars of Eger” is the third joint piece of the creators, in which a special and gap-filling Hungarian theatrical language system is definitively formulated, while the choreographer brings to the stage all the means of mood depiction, from Hungarian to Turkish dance material, with medieval jumpers and lads.
