Kalotaszeg - Living Dance Archive

Following the collection journey of the tireless ethnographer Martin György, the Hungarian National Dance Ensemble invites its viewers to the lively Kalotaszeg. The year is 1969, and the event is a defining dance gathering. The end result is a sound film that is of decisive importance in the history of Hungarian and European folk dance education. The performance thanks the Hungarian, Romanian and Gypsy informants, dancers and musicians who preserved and passed on this wonderful culture to us.
